Mission

The core mission of the Academy for Sustainable Innovation and Scientific Research Foundation is the institutional support of research and innovation in the country, with an emphasis on applied results and their practical implementation.

Institutional support. We work to create the regulatory and economic conditions that encourage the generation of new knowledge and the achievement of applied scientific results. We support research teams, provide access to funding and help ideas with genuine potential become working technologies and solutions.

Education, qualification and professional development. Education and continuing professional development are at the heart of what we do. We organise and support specialised courses, seminars and programmes to raise the qualifications of those working in the sector, we ensure equal access to training and specialised research infrastructure, and we create opportunities for young scientists, doctoral candidates, researchers and entrepreneurs to develop their potential in Bulgaria — through mentoring, knowledge exchange and hands-on experience.

Connecting science, business and government. A priority of the Foundation is to establish effective interaction between government bodies, academic institutions and business — because the successful implementation of innovation requires partnership. We build bridges between these three worlds so that scientific knowledge can reach the real economy and benefit society as a whole.
